About us

The Congolese Association of Merseyside was formed in 2004 with the main motivation to address the social dilemma of our marginalized community (French speakers Refugees, Asylum seekers and other migrants) facing social exclusion due to language barriers.

We provide information, advice, and guidance and we offer training, interpretation and translation from and in French, Lingala, Kikongo, Tshiluba and Swahili. We work mainly with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants from countries who don’t speak English as their first language. Our services cover diverse areas including: Immigration, Housing, Education, Healthcare and more. French speakers and those from Central Africa (DR Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Gabon, Cameroon, Rwanda, Burundi) are our main targets.

We support the wellbeing of the Most Vulnerable of our Community whom find it hard to communicate due to language barriers
